Of Daily Doses

"She sipped a cup of insecurity. It slowly enveloped her tongue. And the moment she swallowed the flavour, it filled her entire soul with it. Placing the cup down,  she got up from the wooden chair as it creaked. She grabbed her coat of uncertainty and wrapped it around herself -  feeling the warmth of the endless vortex of not knowing. She took a deep breath  of what little courage she has left, as she stepped out of the rustic door. As soon as the cold breeze  gently tugged her bare soul, a little flicker of hope  ignited from within. This gave her life  to face the outside world. That flicker of hope,  the small ounce of courage was no other than herself." An original creation as I was listening to the song Cassius by Fleet Foxes ©  Jedde

Into the Blue at Adventure Cove Sentosa

Image
It's so uncommon for me to get free tickets, but this time is different! Woohoo! (Thank you, sponsor!) 30 June 2018 - I cannot keep my excitement. It's finally tourist mode for Alex and me. We decided to meet up at Vivocity at around 10 in the morning. I arrived a little later than that. Nonetheless, we arrived at Sentosa just nicely - not a lot of people flocking the queues yet.  Here are some of our awesome fun at Adventure Cove! Our cute tickets. When we entered the gates, our bags were checked and we were asked if we brought outside food. Apparently, outside food is not allowed. We did bring, but the guy never asked us to leave it so yeah. Our first stop was a Maze. A cute concept with some simple ropes course on top of it! These "waterfalls" and random water splashing at your face when you go through this maze. A pirate ship-themed water display. We didn't go to this one just because it wasn't as interesting. (To be honest, I

Rare: A Glimpse Into Singapore's Presidential House

Image
I first saw Singapore's Presidential House when we were running an event at Istana Plaza. Since then, I have always wondered how Istana looks like inside. Finally, an opportunity knocked and I got my answer. Located in Orchard Road, the office of the republic of Singapore opened its gates to the public in celebration of the Chinese New Year. To get in, one needs to pay $2 (foreigners) and entrance is fee for Singapore permanent residents and citizens. The queue was not long and the bag check was fast. Getting inside, we needed to go through series of security checks - proof that Singapore gives safety the utmost regard.  The queue inside the premise right after getting through the gate.  The Istana, according to  http://www.istana.gov.sg/  is the official residence of the President of Singapore. Istana is a malay term that translates to "palace". It is often used now as a place to receive and entertain state guests. Singapore emblem in gold-colored
