For a long time, I've trapped myself in a cage with an open door. I thought that the cage felt comfortable so I decided not to get out from it. I told myself that it wasn't that bad. That changes today.

I'm writing again. 

It's not too late to start again, is it?



The author of this blog is plain and simple. She thinks mostly of the usual things - life, love, beauty. She enjoys the basic necessities like food, warmth, blankets, and music. She gets thrilled with the idea of an adventure but doesn't really like to go on one, unless her spontaneity kicks in. She's got a fire in her belly most days, but enjoys the leisure of being in bed at the same time. Odd. Weird. Plain. Simple. Mary Jedde. An old soul, a lifelong learner, and a flourishing human being.

Three days changed my life. It was during those three days at the Kool Adventure Camp that ignited my passion for facilitating. The year was 2011. I was a first-year University student then, filled with insecurities, doubts, and uncertainties. I never knew what was in store for me but the moment I experienced the program for myself, I began discovering that I had a magnificent amount of courage tucked within the corners of my inner world, waiting to be unleashed. We climbed high-walls and shakey pamper poles, jumped at scary heights, and discovered ourselves, along with my colleagues from the Sangguniang Kabataan. Tourist Mode On: Around Jurong Bird Park Singapore

Time flies fast, indeed; Singapore and the Philippines are now celebrating 50 strong years of diplomatic relations. Because of this milestone, one of the many tourist attractions in Singapore, the Jurong Bird Park, offered a 50% discount on their full-priced admission tickets for local residents (including foreign workers) and Filipino citizens*. Alex saw this information and made plans for both of us to spend our off-day at the park. So, we booked the tickets and prepared for a day of fun as tourists in Singapore! From Boon Lay MRT Station, we boarded bus 194 towards the park. There wasn't a long queue and the weather was looking fantastic. By that I mean it's not hot and sunny, rather, it was cloudy and it really made me feel happy.  I decided to wear my Uniqlo mock neck long sleeves because I liked the color.
