Nostalgia in Chennai, India

Travelling to India was by far, my most favorite trip. I had the chance to visit Chennai, India because of work and I'm thankful I was given that opportunity. The country is vibrant, colorful, and enriching. Chennai was beyond my expectations. I was ready to experience a busy city, filled with so many people, and high-rise buildings. However, when I reached the place, I was greeted with Chennai's laid-back feels. It was home to many nostalgic artefacts and museums. My heart was really happy that I got to travel here. On top of that, perks of the job was to stay in one of the most famous hotels in India: The Leela Palace in Chennai.

Sharing with you some of the photos I took during the trip.

The route towards the swimming pool.

One morning, I decided to go for a swim at the swimming pool. Lovely time to go for a swim.

Breakfast time!

I enjoyed reading the book Sapiens that time.
This was a photo I took when I was about to relax after a long day and read the book while listening to lo-fi music!

Photo taken after the event when I was on my way back to my room.

Funny story: I saw that they had a Library Blu. My heart leaped for joy and I couldn't wait to visit it after the event. When I stepped in, I realized it was actually a bar and not an actual library.

That light you see is an actual fire.

Visited the San Thome Cathedral. This church was built in 1896. Here we can find the tomb of one of Jesus' 12 disciples - St. Thomas.

An old preserved photo of the church.

Had a fun time with these children - they were all looking at me and waving and so I interacted with them and played Quizzes. They were very smart to answer my questions - not to mention, friendly too!

Passing by Anna Centenary Library.

Final part of the trip was to visit the Wild Garden Cafe.
