A Jewelry Brand that Empowers from SOAMI (Singapore)

I wore a special necklace today.

What makes this necklace special to me is that one of my most beloved people in Singapore, Jasline, gave this as a memento of our friendship. I vividly remember the day when she handed me this thoughtful present. It was a drizzly Saturday night and we were enjoying our conversation from a trip to Sentosa in Singapore.

When the fun had settled, she came up to me with a box and a letter. Curious, I asked her what it was. She told me to open the box first and what I saw inside brought a smile to my face. It was a beautiful, minimalist necklace with the letter "J" inscribed on a tiny circular silver indicating my name "Jedde"  and a phrase engraved on a minute silver column that says: "This too will pass."

This phrase means so much to both of us because we have gone through countless turbulent moments in our lives. It is a reminder that nothing is permanent in this world, including our emotions, feelings, our difficult situations, our pleasant moments. This is why we learned to slowly let go of the things that are beyond our control and to treasure the moments as they come.

SOAMI has imprinted that message quite well on this beautiful little jewelry and I couldn't be any happier. Protected inside a simple yet sturdy box, this item will definitely last a long time. I love that they added a dainty ribbon to seal the box too. It adds a feeling of unwrapping a present every time I decide to wear the necklace.

"May it crown you in grace, beauty, and joy." This was the message printed on the inner flap of the box. When I read it, it made my heart flutter. What an apt reminder to complement the necklace inscription! Thank you SOAMI for your quality jewelry and for relaying Jasline's message to me the way it's meant to be - simple, uncomplicated, and empowering.

Thank you, Jasline for this wonderful present. Thank you for the loving friendship you've shared with me. I miss you.

Love,
Mary Jedde
