Hi and welcome to Scribbles and Books. On Sundays, I will be sharing with you my thoughts about the books that I'm currently reading and those that I've already read. This is a personal project that I have always wanted to start and I'm happy that I'm finally taking the courage to begin. Why did I choose to write book reviews? Because I want to read more books and also encourage more people to read and actually enjoy it. I hope you're looking forward to it as much as I do. Happy Sunday!

The author of this blog is plain and simple. She thinks mostly of the usual things - life, love, beauty. She enjoys the basic necessities like food, warmth, blankets, and music. She gets thrilled with the idea of an adventure but doesn't really like to go on one, unless her spontaneity kicks in. She's got a fire in her belly most days, but enjoys the leisure of being in bed at the same time. Odd. Weird. Plain. Simple. Mary Jedde. An old soul, a lifelong learner, and a flourishing human being.

The sun rises and it is sure of itself. Its rays do not need to be told where it should be. In that moment of serenity, the certainty is strong. No doubt springs from the horizon, only beauty. On the ground, a flower blooms. A tulip, a dandelion, a chrysanthemum. The flower does not compete with the other. Fearlessly she opens, happily she blooms. Hitting the Road So Suddenly

JUST DO IT. January 05,2014 Sunday As always and as part of the routine, my family and I spend an hour to hear and attend mass. Yesterday my Ma asked me what time we'll be going to church the next day (which is today) and I told her we'll go at 11. I woke up at 9:00 AM and yeah, even on Sundays, I procrastinate; did anything I can to subconsciously delay myself from preparing. :)  Everyone's almost done changing clothes, doing stuffs when my mom randomly said: "Adto nalang ta manimba sa Opon, nak." And I couldn't help feeling giddy and happy and excited. We only go there once a year and we weren't able to do that last year. It was already 10:40 and the mass's going to start at 11. We hit the road so suddenly with my cousin's car and just in the nick of time, we arrived at the Church and we were still able to hear mass from the psalm, to the end.
